The objective of this campaign was to create an identity for the Town of Selma that was both true to their history as a railroad town, and attractive to potential new business.
The circular shape is reminiscent of the front headlight of a train, while the white bars play as an homage to the train tracks that are so important to Selma's history. I included the established year as a direct demonstration of the importance of their heritage.
The colors signify warmth, openness, and industry. The stoic and structured typeface Gin combined with the softer serif typeface Birch give the town an upscale, industrial feel.
